Dance Studio Building - Terms & Conditions

Every studio is different, but our services usually cover:

• Marley dance floors, sprung subfloors, and underlays
• Shatterproof mirrors and ballet barres
• Electrical works, lighting, partitions, paint, ceiling
• Layout planning, 3D drawings (if applicable), and consultations

Your final project scope will be based on your approved quotation.

To confirm your project and secure materials and timelines, a payment is required upon quotation confirmation

Once payment is received, we will:

• Order your materials
• Lock in your installation slot
• Confirm estimated handover timeline

Once payment is confirmed, we'll provide a project timeline. Please note:

• Most standard materials take 4-6 weeks to arrive or be fabricated
• Timeline depends on your site’s readiness, project size, project complexity, and vendor coordination

Delays may occur due to:

• Incomplete site access or preparation
• External contractor conflicts
• Material or freight delays
• Changes to design or layout mid-project

We'll do our best to update you and adjust accordingly.

We work based on the existing condition of your space. Please note:

• We are not liable for misalignment due to uneven walls, floors, or ceilings
• Mirrors may reflect wall warps or bends
• Extra surface prep (e.g. patching, levelling, smoothing) is not included unless quoted

Let us know early if your site needs reinforcement or preparation - we're happy to advise or refer specialists.

To ensure smooth progress, please:

• Keep the space clear, clean, and accessible during working hours
• Provide safe access to power, lighting, and essential utilities
• Inform other vendors of our schedule

Please coordinate clearly if you're engaging carpenters, aircon, AV, or other contractors.

We will not be liable for:

• Delays caused by other vendors
• Damage to our work caused by external parties after installation

If third-party work affects our timeline or site condition, extra costs may apply.

If your installation is delayed beyond 2 weeks after materials are delivered, a storage or holding fee may apply. This includes mirrors, Marley rolls, and custom items.

Slight gaps (1-3mm) between Marley mats or near walls are normal due to material expansion and uneven flooring. This does not affect performance or quality. Welding of dance mats can be added so there will be no gaps.

For a seamless aesthetic finish, please inform us in advance - custom work may be chargeable.

Please avoid:

• Dragging heavy furniture or gym equipment
• Prolonged water/moisture exposure
• Cleaning with harsh chemicals

Free Movement Dance's liability is limited to the total project cost paid. We are not responsible for:

• Lost income or rental during or after works
• Damage caused by others post-installation
• Injuries from improper use of the space
• Indirect or consequential losses

We offer a 6-months warranty on workmanship from the date of completion.

Let us know immediately if you spot any issues - we're here to help!

We offer:

• One free touch-up visit within 30 days of completion (by request)
• Ongoing support and guidance on care
• Additional site visits are chargeable unless covered under warranty

If you change your mind about design, layout, or materials after confirmation:

• Variations must be agreed upon in writing
• They may affect both the cost and the timeline
• We reserve the right to pause works until changes are confirmed and paid for

We clean up after installation, but minor construction dust may remain.

We do not provide deep cleaning or post-renovation cleaning unless stated in the quote.

Once the project is handed over, it is your responsibility to protect the space from damage by others.

Please appoint one main point-of-contact (POC) for this project. To avoid confusion, we will only act on decisions from your assigned POC unless otherwise instructed in writing.

We may take photos or videos of the completed space for our portfolio or marketing use, unless you inform us otherwise in writing before installation begins.

We will never share any sensitive or personal information.

All items remain the property of Free Movement Dance until full payment is received.

After installation, you are responsible for keeping the space safe and protecting all finished surfaces.

If you choose to cancel after confirmation:

• Payment is non-refundable once materials are ordered
• If work has started, charges will be applied for labor and materials already used
• We are not responsible for project delays caused by cancellation or redesign

To protect your investment and ensure a smooth project:

• Make full payment on time
• Ensure site is clean, clear, and accessible
• Protect the studio after installation
• Avoid dragging heavy equipment or furniture across dance floors
• Appoint one decision-maker to communicate with us
• Avoid harsh chemicals or improper cleaning products on dance floors
• Inform us early of any changes
• Coordinate other vendors around our installation
• Let us know immediately if anything feels off
