Welcome to Studio Fosse, located on Level 2 of Free Movement Dance Solutions! This 24/7 self-service dance studio is your personal haven for dance, and we've created this step-by-step guide based on our video to ensure you can access and enjoy everything it has to offer. Do read the following instructions IN FULL before coming over for your studio booking as it is a self-service dance studio. Let's get started!

Studio Fosse is on level 2 of our shophouse and is laid with our Vivace Marley Dance Mat in Light Grey

ENTER BY BACK ENTRANCE: Please follow our guide here to enter by our BACK ENTRANCE ONLY. 

 

Key lock holder containing the keys are inside this holder by the wall at our BACK ENTRANCE.

1. Accessing the Studio

• Access Code is in Reminder Email: 

   Locate the reminder email containing your access details, this reminder email is sent to you 1 hour before your booking time
• Unlock the Back Door:

1. Turn the number dials to the access code provided
2. Turn the Knob and gently pull the front flap of the lock towards you
3. Use the key provided to unlock the door
4. Return the key immediately to the lock, close tight and scramble the numbers

2. Shoes Policy

• Indoor Dance Shoes Allowed:

  • Dance shoes such as ballet shoes, jazz shoes, foot thongs, tap shoes are allowed.  All dance heels require heel protectors which can be bought by informing us 1 day in advance.

• Outdoor Shoes Worn For Dancing:

  • Use provided cleaning supplies to clean before entering, otherwise a cleaning fee of $20 will be imposed

• Outdoor Shoes Otherwise NOT ALLOWED:

  • All outdoor shoes not used for dancing is strictly NOT ALLOWED. Remove and place on the floor outside before entering, otherwise a cleaning fee of $20 will be imposed.

3. Common Area Setup

• Activate Lighting and Fan:
  • Turn on the lights and fan upon entry.

4. Studio Introduction

• Settle In:

  • Place your bags in the designated area.
  • Adjust the lights and air conditioning to your comfort.

• Audio Equipment:

  • Instructions for the bluetooth speaker are posted on the wall.

• Available Amenities:

  • Help yourself to complimentary sweets.
  • Utilize ballet barres, yoga mats, blocks, and stretch bands.
  • Sanitize and return items to their original positions after use.
  • Place Ballet Barre back outside immediately after studio use
  • Curtains can be drawn, open curtains immediately after use

• Cleaning Supplies:

  • Sanitizers wipes and tissues are available.
  • Broom, flat mop, vacuum cleaner are located beside the fridge.

5. Changing Facilities, Washroom, First Aid & Fire Extinguisher

• Facilities Overview:

  • Changing room and shower available
  • Storage space and filming equipment rental available
  • Adhere to washroom etiquette guidelines.
  • Utilize the provided hair dryer in the vanity area.

• Safety Equipment:

  • Locate the fire extinguisher and First-Aid kit under the sink.

6. Purchase and Payment, Lost & Found

• Retail and Refreshments:

  • Buy drinks and snacks from $1 each
  • Rent phone stands for $2 per session

• Payment Options:

  • Pay via QR code using PayNow or PayLah!

• Lost and Found:

  • Find the Lost and Found box on Level 2.

7. Closing Procedures

• Preparing to Leave:

  • Return ballet barres to their original location.
  • Open curtains if closed during use.
  • Place rented phone stands back into the designated box.

• Turning Off Studio Equipment:
• Switch off studio lights and audio equipment.
• Make sure to "forget Bluetooth Connection" for the speakers before leaving

• Final Checks:

  • Gather your belongings.
  • Turn off the air conditioning.
  • Confirm all checklist items are complete.

• Common Area Shutdown:
• Ensure Level 2 lights and fans are turned off
• Keep Level 2 balcony & toilet door closed

• Safety Precautions:
• Locate another fire extinguisher at the bottom of the stairs if needed.
• Locking Up:
• Lock the back door by pressing the button on the inside of the door lock, then push door to close from outside. There is no need to retrieve the keys again.
