Ever wanted to know how to make alterations to your own apparels? We guide you on ways to work with your apparels to make them fit you! This workshop is recommended for those who have taken at least our Basic Sewing Workshop.

  

1 Session Workshop – 3 hours per session (3 hours total)

Here at Free Movement, we promise a small student to teacher ratio to ensure each student gets the assistance and attention they need.

What you will learn:
  • Learn techniques to alter your everyday apparels, dancewear or activewear
  • Grasp hand sewing and machine sewing techniques 
  • Adding features such as elastics and gathers
  • Lengthening and shortening apparels
  • Creating a tighter or looser fit
  • Decorative stitches and embellishments to fix holes in apparels

NOTE:

All sewing tools, materials and machines will be provided. Fabrics will be provided for practice in class. You may bring apparels to class to ask questions about alterations. If you would like to, you may purchase our fabrics and embellishments online or after class. 

Additional sewing studio time is charged at $30/hour.

 

Private individual and group classes are available upon request, reach out to us to enquire for availability and rates.
